English Translation
Narrated Adi bin Hatim (may Allah be pleased with him): A man delivered a sermon before the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "Whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has found the right path, and whoever disobeys them both has gone astray." So the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "What a bad speaker you are! Say rather: 'Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has gone astray.'" [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 412]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عدی بن حاتم رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہایک شخص نے نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس خطبہ پڑھا اور اس نے کہا کہ”جس نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی اطاعت کی اس نے راہ پائی، اور جس نے ان دونوں کی نافرمانی کی وہ گمراہ ہوا“تو رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تو کیا برا خطیب ہے۔ یوں کہو کہ”جس نے اللہ اور اس کے رسول کی نافرمانی کی وہ گمراہ ہو گیا“۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 412]
