English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Faith has seventy-odd — or sixty-odd — branches. The highest of them is saying La ilaha illallah, and the lowest is removing a harmful object from the road. And modesty is a branch of faith."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ایمان کی ستر پر کئی یا ساٹھ پر کئی شاخیں ہیں۔ ان سب میں افضل لا الٰہ الا اللہ کہنا ہے اور ان سب میں ادنیٰ، راہ میں سے موذی چیز کا ہٹانا ہے اور حیاء ایمان کی ایک شاخ ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 30]
