English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers Aishah the Truthful and Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them): When the time of the death of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) drew near, he (peace be upon him) began to draw a striped cloak over his face. When he (peace be upon him) became distressed, he would remove the cloak from his face. In this state he (peace be upon him) said, "May the curse of Allah, the Exalted, be upon the Jews and the Christians, for they took the graves of their prophets as mosques." He (peace be upon him) was warning against his own people doing the same.
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ اور سیدنا عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما نے کہا کہجب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکی وفات کا وقت قریب ہوا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دھاری دار چادر اپنے منہ پر ڈالنا شروع کی۔ جب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمگھبرا جاتے تو چادر کو منہ پر سے ہٹا دیتے اس حال میں آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ یہود و نصاریٰ پر اللہ تعالیٰ کی لعنت ہو کہ انہوں نے اپنے پیغمبروں کی قبروں کو مسجد بنا لیا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمڈراتے تھے کہ کہیں اپنے لوگ بھی ایسا نہ کریں۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 255]
