English Translation
Narrated Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): From the time we became Muslims until the time this verse, "Has the time not come for the hearts of the believers to tremble at the remembrance of Allah," was revealed, in which Allah the Exalted reproached us, a period of four years passed. [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2170]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہجب سے ہم مسلمان ہوئے اس وقت سے لے کر اس آیت”کیا وہ وقت نہیں آیا جب مسلمانوں کے دل اللہ کے ذکر کے لئے لرز جائیں“کے اترنے کے وقت تک، جس میں اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہم پر عتاب کیا ہو، چار برس کا عرصہ گزرا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 2170]
