English Translation
Narrated Isa bin Talhah: I was with Mu'awiyah bin Abi Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) when the mu'adhdhin came to call him to prayer. At that, Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "On the Day of Resurrection, the mu'adhdhins will have the longest necks of all people."
Urdu Translation
عیسیٰ بن طلحہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں سیدنا معاویہ بن ابی سفیان رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس تھا کہ اتنے میں انہیں مؤذن نماز کے لئے بلانے آیا۔ جس پر سیدنا معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو فرماتے ہوئے سنا ہے کہ قیامت کے دن مؤذنوں کی گردن سب سے زیادہ لمبی ہو گی۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 197]
