English Translation
Sulaym bin 'Amir said: Sayyiduna al-Miqdad bin al-Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me, saying: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saying: "On the Day of Resurrection the sun will be brought near until it is one mile away." Sulaym bin 'Amir said: By Allah! I do not know what is meant by 'mile'—whether it is a mile of distance, equal to a farsakh, or whether by 'mile' is meant the applicator with which kohl is applied. "People will be immersed in sweat according to their deeds. Some will be immersed up to their ankles, some up to their knees, some up to their waists, and some will be bridled by sweat." And the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) pointed with his hand toward his mouth (that is, the sweat will reach up to the mouth).
Urdu Translation
سلیم بن عامر کہتے ہیں کہمجھ سے سیدنا مقداد بن اسود رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ میں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ قیامت کے دن سورج نزدیک کیا جائے گا، یہاں تک کہ ایک میل پر آ جائے گا۔ سلیم بن عامر نے کہا کہ اللہ کی قسم! میں نہیں جانتا کہ میل سے کیا مراد ہے۔ یہ میل زمین کا جو کوس کے برابر ہوتا ہے یا میل سے مراد سلائی ہے جس سے سرمہ لگاتے ہیں۔ لوگ اپنے اپنے اعمال کے موافق پسینہ میں ڈوبے ہوں گے۔ کوئی تو ٹخنوں تک ڈوبا ہو گا، کوئی گھٹنوں تک، کوئی کمر تک اور کسی کو پسینہ کی لگام ہو گی اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اپنے ہاتھ سے اپنے منہ کی طرف اشارہ کیا (یعنی منہ تک پسینہ ہو گا)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1953]
