English Translation
Safwan bin Muhriz said: A man said to Sayyiduna Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "What have you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) concerning the private conversation (najwa)?" (that is, Allah's private conversation with His servant on the Day of Resurrection). He said: I heard him (peace be upon him) saying: "The believer will be brought near to his Lord on the Day of Resurrection, until his Lord places His arm over him and makes him acknowledge his sins, saying, 'Do you recognize your sins?' He will say, 'O Lord! I recognize them.' The Lord will say, 'I concealed them for you in the world, and now I forgive them for you this day.' Then he will be given the book of his good deeds. But as for the disbelievers and hypocrites, it will be proclaimed before the creation: 'These are the people who lied against Allah.'"
Urdu Translation
صفوان بن محرز کہتے ہیں کہایک آدمی نے سیدنا ابن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما سے کہا کہ تم نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سرگوشی کے بارے میں کیا سنا ہے؟ (یعنی اللہ تعالیٰ جو قیامت کے دن اپنے بندے سے سرگوشی کرے گا) انہوں نے کہا کہ میں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ مومن قیامت کے دن اپنے مالک کے پاس لایا جائے گا، یہاں تک کہ مالک اپنا بازو اس پر رکھ دے گا اور اس سے اس کے گناہوں کا اقرار کرائے گا اور کہے گا کہ تو اپنے گناہوں کو پہچانتا ہے؟ وہ کہے گا کہ اے رب! میں پہچانتا ہوں۔ پروردگار فرمائے گا کہ میں نے ان گناہوں کو دنیا میں تجھ پر چھپا دیا اور اب میں ان کو آج کے دن تیرے لئے بخش دیتا ہوں۔ پھر وہ نیکیوں کی کتاب دیا جائے گا اور کافر اور منافقوں کے لئے تو مخلوقات کے سامنے منادی ہو گی کہ یہ وہ لوگ ہیں جنہوں نے اللہ تعالیٰ پر جھوٹ بولا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1931]
