English Translation
It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers 'A'ishah al-Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Be moderate, and (if you cannot be moderate) then keep close to it, and rejoice. For no one's deeds will bring him into Paradise." The people said, "O Messenger of Allah! Not even you?" He (peace be upon him) said, "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy. And know that the deed most beloved to Allah is one that is done constantly, even if it is little."
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے، وہ کہتی تھیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: میانہ روی کرو اور (جو میانہ روی نہ ہو سکے تو) اس کے نزدیک رہو اور خوش رہو۔ اس لئے کہ کسی کو اس کا عمل جنت میں نہ لے جائے گا۔ لوگوں نے عرض کیا کہ یا رسول اللہ! اور نہ آپ کو؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اور نہ مجھ کو، مگر یہ کہ اللہ تعالیٰ مجھے اپنی رحمت سے ڈھانپ لے اور جان لو کہ اللہ تعالیٰ کو وہ عمل بہت پسند ہے جو ہمیشہ کیا جائے اگرچہ تھوڑا ہو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1927]
