English Translation
Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he used to make this supplication: "O Allah! Forgive my error, my ignorance, and my excess in my affairs, and forgive what You know better than me. O Allah! Forgive my deliberate sins and my sins of jest, and my mistakes and my intentional ones, and all of that is from me. O Master! Forgive my former and latter sins, my hidden and open sins, and those which You know better than me. You are the One who brings forward and You are the One who puts back, and You have power over all things."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوموسیٰ اشعری رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمیہ دعا کیا کرتے تھے: اے اللہ! میری خطا، میری نادانی اور میری زیادتی کو بخش دے جو مجھ سے اپنے حال میں ہوئی اور بخش دے اس چیز کو جس کو تو مجھ سے زیادہ جانتا ہے۔ اے اللہ! بخش دے میرے ارادہ کے گناہ اور میری ہنسی کے گناہ کو اور میری بھول چوک اور قصد کو اور یہ سب میری طرف سے ہے۔ اے مالک! میرے اگلے، پچھلے، چھپے اور ظاہر گناہوں کو اور جن کو تو مجھ سے زیادہ جانتا ہے، بخش دے۔ تو ہی مقدم کرنے والا اور تو ہی مؤخر کرنے والا ہے اور تو ہر چیز پر قادر ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1868]
