English Translation
Narrated Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "The likeness of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk and the one who blows the blacksmith's bellows. The musk seller will either give you some as a gift to smell, or you will buy from him, or you will find a pleasant fragrance from him; and the one who blows the bellows will either burn your clothes, or you will have to smell a foul odor (that is, the effects of good and bad companions leave their mark on a person)."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوموسیٰ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: نیک ساتھی اور برے ساتھی کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے مشک بیچنے والے اور بھٹی دھونکنے والے کی۔ مشک والا یا تو تجھے یونہی تحفہ کے طور پر سونگھنے کو دیدے گا یا تو اس سے خرید لے گا یا تو اس سے اچھی خوشبو پائے گا اور بھٹی پھونکنے والا یا تو تیرے کپڑے جلاوے گا یا تجھے بری بو سونگھنی پڑے گی۔ (یعنی اچھے اور برے ساتھی کے اثرات آدمی پر مرتب ہوتے ہیں)۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1779]
