English Translation
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Prophet (peace be upon him) went to the privy (to answer the call of nature), and I placed water for his ablution. When he (peace be upon him) came out, he asked: Who placed this water? The people, or I, said: Ibn Abbas. He (peace be upon him) said: O Allah! Grant him understanding in religion.
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہنبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبیت الخلاء میں (قضائے حاجت کے لئے) گئے تو میں نے آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے لئے وضو کا پانی رکھا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجب باہر نکلے تو پوچھا کہ یہ پانی کس نے رکھا ہے؟ لوگوں نے یا میں نے کہا کہ ابن عباس نے۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اے اللہ! اس کو دین میں سمجھ عطا فرما۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1689]
