English Translation
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace be upon him): He (peace be upon him) said, "I was sleeping and I saw myself in Paradise. There a woman was performing ablution beside a palace. I asked, 'Whose palace is this?' They (the angels) said, 'Umar bin al-Khattab's.' Hearing this, I remembered his jealousy and I turned back." Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that when Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) heard this, he wept, and we were all in the assembly with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). Then Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "May my mother and father be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah! Would I be jealous of you?" [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1632]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: میں سو رہا تھا اور میں نے اپنے آپ کو جنت میں دیکھا۔ وہاں ایک عورت ایک محل کے کونے میں وضو کر رہی تھی۔ میں نے پوچھا کہ یہ محل کس کا ہے؟ (فرشتے) بولے کہ عمر بن خطاب کا۔ یہ سن کر مجھے اس کی غیرت کا خیال آیا اور میں پیٹھ موڑ کر لوٹ آیا۔ سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے جب یہ سنا تو رو دیئے اور ہم سب رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ مجلس میں تھے۔ پھر سیدنا عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ میرے ماں باپ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر قربان ہوں یا رسول اللہ! کیا میں آپ پر غیرت کروں گا؟[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1632]
