English Translation

Narrated Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) heard the voice (of the angels) in Makkah for fifteen years, and saw the light (of the angels, or of Allah's signs) for seven years, but saw no form; then revelation came to him for eight years, and he remained in Madinah for ten years.
