English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said, "My likeness is that of a man who kindled a fire; when there was light around it, the moths and these creatures that fall into fire began falling into it, and the man began holding them back, but they would not hold back and kept falling into it. This is the likeness of me and you: I seize you by your waists to hold you back from the Fire and say, 'Come away from the Fire,' but you do not obey and keep plunging into it."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: کہ میری مثال اس شخص کی سی ہے جس نے آگ جلائی، جب اس کے گرد روشنی ہوئی تو اس میں کیڑے اور یہ جانور جو آگ میں ہیں، گرنے لگے اور وہ شخص ان کو روکنے لگا، لیکن وہ نہ رکے اور اس میں گرنے لگے۔ یہ مثال ہے میری اور تمہاری، میں تمہاری کمر پکڑ کر جہنم سے روکتا ہوں اور کہتا ہوں کہ جہنم کے پاس سے چلے آؤ اور تم نہیں مانتے اسی میں گھسے جاتے ہو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1544]
