English Translation
Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "The food of one suffices two, the food of two suffices four, and the food of four suffices eight."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہمیں نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے سنا، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمفرماتے تھے کہ ایک کا کھانا دو کو کافی ہے، دو کا کھانا چار کو اور چار کا کھانا آٹھ کو کافی ہے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1311]
