English Translation
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): A bedouin asked the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) about migration (hijrah), and he (peace be upon him) said, "Migration is very hard (that is, leaving one's homeland and living with me in Medina; and this he (peace be upon him) said so that if one could not manage it, he would then have to break the migration). Do you have camels?" He said, "Yes." He (peace be upon him) inquired, "Do you pay their zakat?" He said, "Yes." He (peace be upon him) said, "Then continue acting from beyond the seas; Allah the Exalted will not let any of your deeds go to waste."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہایک دیہاتی نے رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ہجرت کے بارے میں پوچھا، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ ہجرت بہت مشکل ہے (یعنی اپنا وطن چھوڑنا اور مدینہ میں میرے ساتھ رہنا اور یہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے اس لئے فرمایا کہ کہیں اس سے نہ ہو سکے تو پھر ہجرت توڑنا پڑے) تیرے پاس اونٹ ہیں؟ وہ بولا ہاں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے استفسار فرمایا کہ تو ان کی زکوٰۃ دیتا ہے؟ وہ بولا کہ ہاں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تو سمندروں کے اس پار سے عمل کرتا رہ، اللہ تعالیٰ تیرے کسی عمل کو ضائع نہیں کرے گا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1187]
