English Translation
Narrated the Mother of the Believers, Aishah the Truthful (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) set out for the Battle of Badr. When he reached Harrat al-Wabarah (which is four miles from Madinah), a man met him who was renowned for his bravery and noble lineage, and the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) were pleased to see him. When he met him (peace be upon him), he said, "I have come so that I may go with you (peace be upon him) and share in whatever is gained." He (peace be upon him) said: "Do you believe in Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him)?" He said, "No." So he (peace be upon him) said: "Go back; I do not seek the help of a polytheist." Then he (peace be upon him) proceeded, and when he reached ash-Shajarah (a place), the man again met him (peace be upon him) and said what he had said before. He (peace be upon him) also said what he had said before, and said: "Go back; I do not seek the help of a polytheist." So he went back. After that he again met him (peace be upon him) at al-Bayda (a place), and he (peace be upon him) said what he had said before: "Do you believe in Allah and His Messenger (peace be upon him)?" Now the man said, "Yes, I believe." So he (peace be upon him) said: "Then come along." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1129]
Urdu Translation
ام المؤمنین عائشہ صدیقہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے، بیان کرتی ہیں کہرسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمجنگ بدر کی طرف نکلے۔ جب (مقام) حرۃ الوبرہ (جو مدینہ سے چار میل پر ہے) میں پہنچے، تو ایک شخص آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ملا، جس کی بہادری اور اصالت کا شہرہ تھا اور رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے اصحاب اس کو دیکھ کر خوش ہوئے۔ جب آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ملا تو اس نے کہا کہ میں اس لئے آیا ہوں کہ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے ساتھ چلوں اور جو ملے اس میں حصہ پاؤں۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اللہ اور اس کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر ایمان لاتا ہے؟ اس نے کہا کہ نہیں، تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ تو لوٹ جا، میں مشرک کی مدد نہیں چاہتا۔ پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمچلے جب شجرہ (مقام) پہنچے تو وہ شخص پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے ملا اور وہی کہا جو پہلے کہا تھا۔ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے بھی وہی فرمایا جو پہلے فرمایا تھا اور فرمایا کہ لوٹ جا میں مشرک کی مدد نہیں چاہتا۔ پھر وہ لوٹ گیا اس کے بعد پھر آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے (مقام) بیداء میں ملا اور آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے وہی فرمایا جو پہلے فرمایا تھا کہ کیا تو اللہ اور اس کے رسولصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمپر یقین رکھتا ہے؟ اب وہ شخص بولا کہ ہاں میں یقین رکھتا ہوں۔ تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ پھر چل۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1129]
