English Translation
Narrated Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said, "Which person is the most excellent?" He (peace be upon him) said: "The person who strives in the way of Allah the Exalted with his wealth and his life." The man said, "Then who?" He (peace be upon him) said: "The believer who worships Allah the Exalted in some mountain valley and spares people from his harm." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1072]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہایک آدمی نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس آیا اور کہا کہ کون شخص افضل ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وہ شخص جو اللہ تعالیٰ کی راہ میں اپنے مال اور اپنی جان سے جہاد کرتا ہے۔ اس نے کہا پھر کون ہے؟ آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ وہ مومن جو پہاڑ کی کسی گھاٹی میں اللہ تعالیٰ کی عبادت کرے اور لوگوں کو اپنے شر سے بچائے۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1072]
