English Translation
Narrated Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him): We said, "O Messenger of Allah! You send us out, and then we halt with some people who do not offer us hospitality. What is your opinion (that is, what should they do)?" The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "If you halt with some people and they arrange for you what a guest needs, then accept it. But if they do not do so, then take from them the right of hospitality that is due to a guest." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1064]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا عقبہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہہم نے کہا کہ یا رسول اللہ! آپ ہمیں بھیجتے ہیں پھر ہم کسی قوم کے پاس اترتے ہیں اور وہ ہماری مہمانی نہیں کرتے، تو کا کیا خیال ہے؟ (یعنی انہیں کیا کرنا چاہئے) آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا کہ اگر تم کسی قوم کے پاس اترو، پھر وہ تمہارے واسطے وہ سامان کر دیں جو مہمان کے لئے چاہئے، تو تم قبول کرو اگر وہ نہ کریں، تو ان سے مہمانی کا حق جتنا مہمان کو چاہئے، لے لو۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1064]
