English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace be upon him) that he said: "A vow does not bring nearer to a person anything that Allah has not decreed for him, but the vow comes in accordance with the decree. Because of the vow, wealth is brought forth from the miser which he did not wish to bring forth." [Mukhtasar Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 1007]
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی کریمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمسے روایت کرتے ہیں کہآپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا: نذر کسی ایسی چیز کو آدمی سے نزدیک نہیں کرتی جو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس کی تقدیر میں نہیں لکھی لیکن نذر تقدیر کے موافق ہوتی ہے۔ نذر کی وجہ سے بخیل کے پاس سے وہ مال نکلتا ہے جس کو وہ نکالنا نہیں چاہتا۔[مختصر صحيح مسلم/حدیث: 1007]
