Arabic (Original)
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ، وَحَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالاَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ، وَسَالِمٍ، ابْنَىْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " لاَ عَدْوَى وَلاَ طِيَرَةَ وَإِنَّمَا الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلاَثَةٍ الْمَرْأَةِ وَالْفَرَسِ وَالدَّارِ " .
English Translation
Abdullah b. 'Umar reported Allah's Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as saying:There is no transitive disease, no ill omen, and bad luck is lound in the house, or wife or horse. Note: The majority of scholars interpret this to mean that these things in and of themselves do not transmit or cause harm through supernatural or hidden means but that Allah is ultimately in control and any fearful superstition around these is false
Urdu Translation
یو نس نے ابن شہاب سے ، انھوں نے بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کے دوبیٹوں حمزہ اور سالم سے ، انھوں نے حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فر ما یا : " کسی سے خود بخود مرض کا لگ جا نا اور بد شگونی کی کو ئی حقیقت نہیں ۔ ناموافقت تین چیزوں میں ہو تی ہے ۔ عورت گھوڑے اور گھر میں ۔
