Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him) used to narrate that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'The roof of my house was opened while I was in Makkah and Jibra'il (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) descended and opened my heart, then washed it with the water of Zamzam. Then he brought a golden basin full of wisdom and faith and emptied it into my breast, then closed it up. Then he took me by the hand and ascended with me towards the heaven. When we reached the lowest heaven, Jibra'il (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said to the guardian of the lowest heaven: Open! He asked: Who is it? He replied: Jibra'il. He asked: Is there anyone with you? He said: Yes, Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is with me. He asked: Has he been sent for? He said: Yes. When it was opened, we went up to the first heaven and saw a man with black figures on his right and on his left. When he looked to his right he smiled and when he looked to his left he wept. He said: Welcome, righteous the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and righteous son! I asked Jibra'il (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him): Who is this? He said: This is Adam (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and these figures on his right and left are the souls of his descendants; those on the right are the people of Paradise and those on the left are the people of the Fire, so when he looks to his right he smiles and when he looks to his left he weeps. Then Jibra'il (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) ascended with me till he reached the second heaven and said to the guardian: Open! The same questioning took place as before, and the door was opened.' Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: Hadrat Abu Dharr (may Allah be well pleased with him) narrated that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) met Adam, Idris, Musa, 'Isa and Ibrahim (peace be upon them all) in the heavens, but he did not specify their positions, except that he mentioned that he met Adam (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in the first heaven and Ibrahim (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) in the sixth heaven. Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: When Jibra'il (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) passed with the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) by Idris (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the latter said: Welcome, righteous the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and righteous brother! I asked: Who is this? Jibra'il (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: This is Idris (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Then I passed by Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who said: Welcome, righteous the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and righteous brother! I asked: Who is this? He said: This is Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Then I passed by 'Isa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who said: Welcome, righteous the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and righteous brother! I asked: Who is this? He said: This is 'Isa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). Then I passed by Ibrahim (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who said: Welcome, righteous the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and righteous son! I asked: Who is this? He said: This is Ibrahim (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).' Ibn Shihab said: Ibn Hazm informed me that Hadrat Ibn 'Abbas and Abu Habba al-Ansari (may Allah be well pleased with them) used to say that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Then I was taken up until I reached a place where I could hear the scratching of the pens.' Ibn Hazm and Hadrat Anas (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'Allah enjoined fifty prayers on my Ummah. I descended and passed by Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) who said: What has your Lord enjoined on your Ummah? I said: Fifty prayers have been enjoined on them. Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: Go back to your Lord and ask for reduction, for your Ummah cannot bear that. I have tested the Children of Israel and tried them. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: I returned to my Lord and submitted: O my Lord! Lighten the burden upon my Ummah. Then five prayers were reduced. I went back to Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: Five prayers have been reduced. He said: Your Ummah cannot bear even that; go back to your Lord and ask for further reduction. He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: I kept going back between my Lord and Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) until Allah, the Exalted, said: O Muhammad! These are five prayers every day and night, each prayer has the reward of ten, so these are fifty prayers. Whoever intends a good deed but does not perform it, one good deed will be recorded for him, and if he performs it, ten good deeds will be recorded for him. And whoever intends an evil deed but does not perform it, nothing will be recorded against him, and if he performs it, one evil deed will be recorded.' He (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: 'I descended and came to Musa (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and told him. He said: Go back to your Lord and ask for further reduction. The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: I have returned to my Lord so many times that I feel ashamed to go back again.'

ابن شہاب نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: حضرت ابو ذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بتایا: ''میں مکہ میں تھا تو میرے گھر کی چھت کھولی گئی، جبرائیل علیہ السلام اترے، میرا سینہ چاک کیا، پھر اسے زمزم کے پانی سے دھویا، پھر سونے کا طشت لائے جو حکمت اور ایمان سے لبریز تھا، اسے میرے سینے میں انڈیل دیا، پھر اس کو جوڑ دیا، پھر میرا ہاتھ پکڑا اور مجھے لے کر آسمان کی طرف بلند ہوئے۔ جب ہم سب سے نچلے (پہلے) آسمان پر پہنچے تو جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے آسمان کے داروغہ سے کہا: دروازہ کھولو! اس نے پوچھا: کون ہے؟ جواب دیا: جبرائیل۔ پوچھا: کیا آپ کے ساتھ کوئی ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں، میرے ساتھ محمد (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہیں۔ پوچھا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔ جب دروازہ کھلا تو ہم پہلے آسمان پر پہنچے، وہاں ایک شخص کو دیکھا جن کے دائیں طرف بہت سے سیاہ خاکے تھے اور بائیں طرف بھی بہت سے سیاہ خاکے تھے۔ جب وہ دائیں طرف دیکھتے تو ہنستے اور جب بائیں طرف دیکھتے تو روتے۔ انہوں نے کہا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بیٹے! میں نے جبرائیل علیہ السلام سے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ آدم علیہ السلام ہیں اور ان کے دائیں بائیں ان کی اولاد کی روحیں ہیں، دائیں طرف والے جنتی ہیں اور بائیں طرف والے دوزخی، اسی لیے جب دائیں طرف دیکھتے ہیں تو ہنستے ہیں اور جب بائیں طرف دیکھتے ہیں تو روتے ہیں۔ پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام مجھے اوپر لے گئے یہاں تک کہ دوسرے آسمان پر پہنچے، داروغہ سے کہا: دروازہ کھولو! اس سے بھی پہلے والا سوال و جواب ہوا، پھر دروازہ کھل گیا۔'' حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: حضرت ابو ذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے آسمانوں میں آدم، ادریس، موسیٰ، عیسیٰ اور ابراہیم علیہم السلام سے ملاقات فرمائی، لیکن ان کی منزلوں کی تعیین نہیں فرمائی، البتہ اتنا فرمایا کہ آدم علیہ السلام پہلے آسمان پر اور ابراہیم علیہ السلام چھٹے آسمان پر ملے۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: جب جبرائیل علیہ السلام نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ادریس علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزارے تو ادریس علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بھائی! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا: یہ ادریس علیہ السلام ہیں۔ پھر میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، انہوں نے کہا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بھائی! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں۔ پھر میں عیسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، انہوں نے کہا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بھائی! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ عیسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں۔ پھر ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، انہوں نے فرمایا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بیٹے! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ ابراہیم علیہ السلام ہیں۔'' ابن شہاب نے کہا: مجھے ابن حزم نے خبر دی کہ حضرت ابن عباس اور ابو حبہ انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم کہا کرتے تھے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''پھر مجھے اوپر لے جایا گیا یہاں تک کہ میں ایسے مقام پر پہنچا جہاں قلموں کے لکھنے کی آواز سنائی دے رہی تھی۔'' ابن حزم اور حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''اللہ تعالیٰ نے میری امت پر پچاس نمازیں فرض کیں، میں واپس آیا اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: تمہارے رب نے تمہاری امت پر کیا فرض کیا ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا: ان پر پچاس نمازیں فرض کی ہیں۔ موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اپنے رب کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور تخفیف کی درخواست کرو کیونکہ تمہاری امت اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتی، میں نے بنی اسرائیل کو آزمایا ہے اور تجربہ کیا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے رب کے حضور واپس گیا اور عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! میری امت پر تخفیف فرما۔ تو پانچ نمازیں کم کر دی گئیں۔ پھر میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس آیا اور فرمایا: پانچ نمازیں کم کر دی گئی ہیں۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: تمہاری امت اس کی بھی طاقت نہیں رکھتی، اپنے رب کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور مزید تخفیف کی درخواست کرو۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے رب اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے درمیان آتا جاتا رہا یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: اے محمد! یہ ہر دن اور رات میں پانچ نمازیں ہیں، ہر نماز کا اجر دس (نمازوں) کے برابر ہے، پس یہ پچاس نمازیں ہیں۔ جو شخص کسی نیکی کا ارادہ کرے اور اسے عمل میں نہ لا سکے تو اس کے لیے ایک نیکی لکھی جائے گی، اگر وہ اسے عمل میں لائے تو دس نیکیاں لکھی جائیں گی، اور جو شخص کسی برائی کا ارادہ کرے اور اسے عمل میں نہ لائے تو کچھ نہیں لکھا جائے گا، اگر وہ اسے عمل میں لائے تو ایک برائی لکھی جائے گی۔'' آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ''میں نیچے اتر کر موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس آیا اور بتایا تو انہوں نے فرمایا: اپنے رب کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور مزید تخفیف کی درخواست کرو۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے رب کے حضور بہت حاضر ہو چکا ہوں، اب مجھے حیا آتی ہے۔''

ابن شہاب نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی، انہوں نے کہا: حضرت ابو ذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ بیان فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بتایا: ''میں مکہ میں تھا تو میرے گھر کی چھت کھولی گئی، جبرائیل علیہ السلام اترے، میرا سینہ چاک کیا، پھر اسے زمزم کے پانی سے دھویا، پھر سونے کا طشت لائے جو حکمت اور ایمان سے لبریز تھا، اسے میرے سینے میں انڈیل دیا، پھر اس کو جوڑ دیا، پھر میرا ہاتھ پکڑا اور مجھے لے کر آسمان کی طرف بلند ہوئے۔ جب ہم سب سے نچلے (پہلے) آسمان پر پہنچے تو جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے آسمان کے داروغہ سے کہا: دروازہ کھولو! اس نے پوچھا: کون ہے؟ جواب دیا: جبرائیل۔ پوچھا: کیا آپ کے ساتھ کوئی ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں، میرے ساتھ محمد (صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم) ہیں۔ پوچھا: کیا انہیں بلایا گیا ہے؟ فرمایا: ہاں۔ جب دروازہ کھلا تو ہم پہلے آسمان پر پہنچے، وہاں ایک شخص کو دیکھا جن کے دائیں طرف بہت سے سیاہ خاکے تھے اور بائیں طرف بھی بہت سے سیاہ خاکے تھے۔ جب وہ دائیں طرف دیکھتے تو ہنستے اور جب بائیں طرف دیکھتے تو روتے۔ انہوں نے کہا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بیٹے! میں نے جبرائیل علیہ السلام سے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ آدم علیہ السلام ہیں اور ان کے دائیں بائیں ان کی اولاد کی روحیں ہیں، دائیں طرف والے جنتی ہیں اور بائیں طرف والے دوزخی، اسی لیے جب دائیں طرف دیکھتے ہیں تو ہنستے ہیں اور جب بائیں طرف دیکھتے ہیں تو روتے ہیں۔ پھر جبرائیل علیہ السلام مجھے اوپر لے گئے یہاں تک کہ دوسرے آسمان پر پہنچے، داروغہ سے کہا: دروازہ کھولو! اس سے بھی پہلے والا سوال و جواب ہوا، پھر دروازہ کھل گیا۔'' حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: حضرت ابو ذر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے آسمانوں میں آدم، ادریس، موسیٰ، عیسیٰ اور ابراہیم علیہم السلام سے ملاقات فرمائی، لیکن ان کی منزلوں کی تعیین نہیں فرمائی، البتہ اتنا فرمایا کہ آدم علیہ السلام پہلے آسمان پر اور ابراہیم علیہ السلام چھٹے آسمان پر ملے۔ حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: جب جبرائیل علیہ السلام نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ادریس علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزارے تو ادریس علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بھائی! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ جبرائیل علیہ السلام نے کہا: یہ ادریس علیہ السلام ہیں۔ پھر میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، انہوں نے کہا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بھائی! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ موسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں۔ پھر میں عیسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، انہوں نے کہا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بھائی! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ عیسیٰ علیہ السلام ہیں۔ پھر ابراہیم علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، انہوں نے فرمایا: خوش آمدید، نیک نبی اور نیک بیٹے! میں نے پوچھا: یہ کون ہیں؟ فرمایا: یہ ابراہیم علیہ السلام ہیں۔'' ابن شہاب نے کہا: مجھے ابن حزم نے خبر دی کہ حضرت ابن عباس اور ابو حبہ انصاری رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہم کہا کرتے تھے کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''پھر مجھے اوپر لے جایا گیا یہاں تک کہ میں ایسے مقام پر پہنچا جہاں قلموں کے لکھنے کی آواز سنائی دے رہی تھی۔'' ابن حزم اور حضرت انس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے کہا: نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ''اللہ تعالیٰ نے میری امت پر پچاس نمازیں فرض کیں، میں واپس آیا اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس سے گزرا، موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: تمہارے رب نے تمہاری امت پر کیا فرض کیا ہے؟ میں نے عرض کیا: ان پر پچاس نمازیں فرض کی ہیں۔ موسیٰ علیہ السلام نے فرمایا: اپنے رب کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور تخفیف کی درخواست کرو کیونکہ تمہاری امت اس کی طاقت نہیں رکھتی، میں نے بنی اسرائیل کو آزمایا ہے اور تجربہ کیا ہے۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے رب کے حضور واپس گیا اور عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! میری امت پر تخفیف فرما۔ تو پانچ نمازیں کم کر دی گئیں۔ پھر میں موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس آیا اور فرمایا: پانچ نمازیں کم کر دی گئی ہیں۔ انہوں نے فرمایا: تمہاری امت اس کی بھی طاقت نہیں رکھتی، اپنے رب کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور مزید تخفیف کی درخواست کرو۔ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے رب اور موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے درمیان آتا جاتا رہا یہاں تک کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نے فرمایا: اے محمد! یہ ہر دن اور رات میں پانچ نمازیں ہیں، ہر نماز کا اجر دس (نمازوں) کے برابر ہے، پس یہ پچاس نمازیں ہیں۔ جو شخص کسی نیکی کا ارادہ کرے اور اسے عمل میں نہ لا سکے تو اس کے لیے ایک نیکی لکھی جائے گی، اگر وہ اسے عمل میں لائے تو دس نیکیاں لکھی جائیں گی، اور جو شخص کسی برائی کا ارادہ کرے اور اسے عمل میں نہ لائے تو کچھ نہیں لکھا جائے گا، اگر وہ اسے عمل میں لائے تو ایک برائی لکھی جائے گی۔'' آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ''میں نیچے اتر کر موسیٰ علیہ السلام کے پاس آیا اور بتایا تو انہوں نے فرمایا: اپنے رب کے پاس واپس جاؤ اور مزید تخفیف کی درخواست کرو۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: میں اپنے رب کے حضور بہت حاضر ہو چکا ہوں، اب مجھے حیا آتی ہے۔''
