Arabic (Original)
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ قَالَ كُنَّا وَنَحْنُ شَبَابٌ فَقُلْنَا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَلاَ نَسْتَخْصِي وَلَمْ يَقُلْ نَغْزُو .
English Translation
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Isma'il with the same chain of transmitters (and the words are):" We were young, so we said: the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), should we not have ourselves castrated? But he (the narrator) did not say; We were on an expedition
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوبکر بن ابی شیبہ نے کہا : ہمیں وکیع نے اسماعیل سے اسی سند کے ساتھ حدیث بیان کی ، اور کہا : ہم سب نوجوان تھے تو ہم نے عرض کی : اے اللہ کے رسول! کیا ہم خصی نہ ہو جائیں؟ اور انہوں نے نغزو ( ہم جہاد کرتے تھے ) کے الفاظ نہیں کہے
