Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَسَمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَسْمًا فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ إِنَّهَا لَقِسْمَةٌ مَا أُرِيدَ بِهَا وَجْهُ اللَّهِ - قَالَ - فَأَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَارَرْتُهُ فَغَضِبَ مِنْ ذَلِكَ غَضَبًا شَدِيدًا وَاحْمَرَّ وَجْهُهُ حَتَّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنِّي لَمْ أَذْكُرْهُ لَهُ - قَالَ - ثُمَّ قَالَ " قَدْ أُوذِيَ مُوسَى بِأَكْثَرَ مِنْ هَذَا فَصَبَرَ " .
English Translation
Hadrat Abdullah reported that the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) distributed spoils (of war). Upon this a person said: This is a distribution In which the pleasure of Allah has not been sought. I came to the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and informed him in an undertone. He (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) was deeply angry at this and his face became red till I wished that I had not made a mention of it to him. He (the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)) then said: Moses (upon him be peace) was tormented more than this, but he showed patience
Urdu Translation
اعمش نے ( ابو وائل ) شقیق سے اور ا نھوں نے حضرت عبداللہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے کچھ ( مال ) تقسیم کیا توع ایک آدمی نے کہا : اس تقسیم میں اللہ کی رضا کو پیش نظر نہیں رکھا گیا ۔ کہا : میں نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا اور چپکے چپکے سے آپ کو بتادیا ، اس سے آپ انتہائی غصے میں آگئے ، آپ کاچہرہ سرخ ہوگیا حتیٰ کہ میں نے خواہش کی ، کاش!یہ بات میں آپ کو نہ بتاتا ، کہا : پھر آپ نے فرمایا : " موسیٰ علیہ السلام کو اس سے بھی زیادہ اذیت پہنچائی گئی تو انھوں نے صبر کیا ۔
