Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم رَجُلاً يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ فَقَالَ " الْحَيَاءُ مِنَ الإِيمَانِ " .
English Translation
Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father Hadrat Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be well pleased with them both), who reported that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) heard a man admonishing his brother regarding modesty, so he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated: Do not restrain him from modesty, for modesty is part of faith.
Urdu Translation
سفیان بن عیینہ نے زہری سے حدیث بیان کی، انہوں نے سالم سے اور انہوں نے اپنے والد حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے روایت کی کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ایک شخص کو سنا جو اپنے بھائی کو حیا کے بارے میں نصیحت کر رہا تھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: (حیا سے مت روکو) حیا ایمان کا حصہ ہے۔
