حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، - وَاسْمُهُ يَحْيَى بْنُ مَالِكٍ الأَزْدِيُّ وَيُقَالُ الْمَرَاغِيُّ وَالْمَرَاغُ حَىٌّ مِنَ الأَزْدِ - عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " وَقْتُ الظُّهْرِ مَا لَمْ يَحْضُرِ الْعَصْرُ وَوَقْتُ الْعَصْرِ مَا لَمْ تَصْفَرَّ الشَّمْسُ وَوَقْتُ الْمَغْرِبِ مَا لَمْ يَسْقُطْ ثَوْرُ الشَّفَقِ وَوَقْتُ الْعِشَاءِ إِلَى نِصْفِ اللَّيْلِ وَوَقْتُ الْفَجْرِ مَا لَمْ تَطْلُعِ الشَّمْسُ " .
English Translation
Hadrat 'Ubaidullah ibn Mu'adh al-'Anbari narrated, he said: My father narrated to us, he said: Shu'bah narrated to us from Qatadah, who narrated from Hadrat Abu Ayyub — whose name is Yahya ibn Malik al-Azdi, also known as al-Maraghi, and al-Maragh is a clan of al-Azd — who narrated from Hadrat 'Abdullah ibn 'Amr (may Allah be well pleased with them both), who narrated from the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that he (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'The time of Zuhr extends as long as 'Asr has not come. The time of 'Asr extends as long as the sun has not turned yellow. The time of Maghrib extends as long as the twilight has not disappeared. The time of 'Isha extends until midnight. The time of Fajr extends as long as the sun has not risen.'
Urdu Translation
عبید اللہ بن حضرت معاذ عنبری نے بیان کیا، کہا ہمیں میرے والد نے حدیث سنائی، کہا ہمیں شعبہ نے قتادہ سے حدیث سنائی، انہوں نے حضرت ابو ایوب سے — حضرت ابو ایوب کا نام یحییٰ بن مالک ازدی ہے، انہیں مراغی بھی کہا جاتا ہے اور مراغ قبیلہ ازد ہی کی ایک شاخ ہے — انہوں نے حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما سے اور انہوں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کی کہ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ''ظہر کا وقت تب تک ہے جب تک عصر کا وقت شروع نہ ہو، اور عصر کا وقت ہے جب تک سورج زرد نہ ہو، اور مغرب کا وقت ہے جب تک شفق غروب نہ ہو، اور عشاء کا وقت آدھی رات تک ہے، اور فجر کا وقت ہے جب تک سورج طلوع نہ ہو۔''
