حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، قَالَ عَمْرٌو حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ طَالِعَةٌ فِي حُجْرَتِي لَمْ يَفِئِ الْفَىْءُ بَعْدُ . وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ لَمْ يَظْهَرِ الْفَىْءُ بَعْدُ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Bakr ibn Abi Shaibah and 'Amr al-Naqid narrated. 'Amr said: Sufyan narrated to us from al-Zuhri, who narrated from 'Urwah, who narrated from Umm al-Mu'minin Hadrat 'A'ishah (may Allah be well pleased with her) that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to pray the 'Asr prayer while the sun was shining in my apartment, and the afternoon shadow had not yet extended further. Hadrat Abu Bakr said: The afternoon shadow had not yet appeared to extend further.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو بکر بن ابی شیبہ اور عمرو ناقد نے حدیث سنائی، عمرو نے کہا: ہمیں سفیان نے زہری سے حدیث سنائی، انہوں نے عروہ سے اور انہوں نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت کی کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم عصر کی نماز پڑھتے تھے اور سورج میرے حجرے میں چمک رہا ہوتا تھا، ابھی (صحن کے مشرقی حصے میں) سایہ نہ پھیلا ہوتا تھا۔ حضرت ابو بکر نے (معنی کی وضاحت کرتے ہوئے) کہا: ابھی (مشرق کی طرف) سایہ ظاہر نہ ہوا ہوتا تھا۔
