قَالَ مُسْلِمٌ وَحُدِّثْتُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَسَّانَ، وَيُونُسَ الْمُؤَدِّبِ، و غَيْرِهِمَا قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عُمَارَةُ بْنُ الْقَعْقَاعِ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو زُرْعَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ، يَقُولُ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم إِذَا نَهَضَ مِنَ الرَّكْعَةِ الثَّانِيَةِ اسْتَفْتَحَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِـ { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} وَلَمْ يَسْكُتْ .
English Translation
Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) reported that when the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stood up for the second rak'ah, he would begin the recitation with al-Hamdu Lillahi Rabb al-'Alamin (al-Fatihah) and would not pause (before the recitation of al-Fatihah).
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم جب دوسری رکعت سے اٹھتے تو (الحمد للہ رب العٰلمین) سے قراءت کا آغاز کر دیتے (کچھ دیر) خاموشی اختیار نہ فرماتے۔
