وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّ عَبْدًا لِحَاطِبٍ جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَشْكُو حَاطِبًا إِلَيْهِ فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَيَدْخُلَنَّ حَاطِبٌ النَّار فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «كذبت لَا يدخلهَا فَإِنَّهُ شهد بَدْرًا وَالْحُدَيْبِيَة». رَوَاهُ مُسلم
English Translation
Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "I recognized the voices of the companions of al-Ash'ari when they recite the Quran upon entering their homes at night, and I could identify their dwellings from their recitation at night even if I had not seen their dwellings during the day. And Hakim ibn Hizam, when he went to war, he would take twelve thousand." Agreed upon.
Urdu Translation
جابر رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ حاطب رضی اللہ عنہ کا غلام نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو اس نے آپ سے حاطب کی شکایت کرتے ہوئے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! حاطب جہنم میں جائے گا۔ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”تو جھوٹ کہتا ہے، وہ اس میں داخل نہیں ہو گا۔ کیونکہ وہ بدر اور حدیبیہ میں شرکت کر چکا ہے۔“رواہ مسلم۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6252]
