وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي عَمِيرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِمُعَاوِيَةَ: «اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا وَاهْدِ بِهِ». رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ
English Translation
Ibn 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever drags his garment out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him on the Day of Resurrection." Abu Bakr said: "O Messenger of Allah, one side of my lower garment slips down unless I constantly take care of it." The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "You are not one of those who do it out of arrogance." Reported by al-Bukhari.
Urdu Translation
عبد الرحمن بن ابی عمیرہ رضی اللہ عنہ نبی صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ آپ نے معاویہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے متعلق فرمایا:”اے اللہ! اسے ہادی اور ہدایت یافتہ بنا اور اس کے ذریعے ہدایت نصیب فرما۔“اسنادہ صحیح، رواہ الترمذی۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6244]
