وَعَنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ: أُهْدِيَتْ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُلَّةُ حَرِيرٍ فَجَعَلَ أَصْحَابُهُ يَمَسُّونَهَا وَيَتَعَجَّبُونَ مِنْ لِينِهَا فَقَالَ: «أَتَعْجَبُونَ مِنْ لِينِ هَذِهِ؟ لَمَنَادِيلُ سَعْدِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ فِي الجنَّةِ خيرٌ مِنْهَا وألين». مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
English Translation
'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: When it was the Day of Badr, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) surveyed the polytheists who were one thousand while his Companions were three hundred and nineteen. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) faced the qiblah and began supplicating: "O Allah, fulfill for me what You have promised me." He continued supplicating until his cloak fell from his shoulders, and Abu Bakr picked it up and placed it on his shoulders. This hadith has already been mentioned. Reported by Muslim.

براء رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی خدمت میں ریشمی جوڑا بطور ہدیہ پیش کیا گیا تو صحابہ اسے چھونے لگے اور اس کی ملائمیت پر تعجب کرنے لگے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”تم اس کی ملائمیت پر تعجب کرتے ہو۔ سعد بن معاذ کے جنت میں رومال اس سے زیادہ بہتر ہیں اور زیادہ ملائم ہیں۔“متفق علیہ۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب المناقب/حدیث: 6207]
