Arabic (Original)
وَعَن عبد الله بن عَمْرو أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ سَمَّعَ النَّاسَ بِعَمَلِهِ سَمَّعَ اللَّهُ بِهِ أَسَامِعَ خَلْقِهِ وَحَقَّرَهُ وَصَغَّرَهُ». رَوَاهُ الْبَيْهَقِيّ فِي «شعب الْإِيمَان»
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Amr reported that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: "Whoever publicizes his deeds to the people, Allah will publicize it to the ears of His creation, and He will make him contemptible and insignificant." Narrated by al-Bayhaqi in Shu'ab al-Iman.
Urdu Translation
عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ انہوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو فرماتے ہوئے سنا:”جو شخص اپنے عمل کے متعلق لوگوں کو سناتا ہے تو اللہ اس کے متعلق اپنی مخلوق کے کانوں تک سنا دیتا ہے اور وہ اسے حقیر و ذلیل کر دیتا ہے۔“صحیح، رواہ البیھقی فی شعب الایمان۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب الرقاق/حدیث: 5319]
