Arabic (Original)
وَعَن وَاثِلَة قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم: «لَا تظهر الشماتة لأخيك فِي وَيَبْتَلِيَكَ». رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ وَقَالَ: هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ
English Translation
Abu Bakrah reported that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "When two Muslims confront each other with their swords, both the killer and the killed will be in the Fire." They said: "O Messenger of Allah, this is for the killer, but what about the killed?" He said: "He was eager to kill his companion."
Urdu Translation
واثلہ رضی اللہ عنہ بیان کرتے ہیں، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا:”اپنے (مسلمان) بھائی (کے مصیبت میں مبتلا ہونے) پر خوشی کا اظہار نہ کر، ممکن ہے اللہ اس پر رحم فرما دے اور تمہیں (اس مصیبت میں) مبتلا کر دے۔“ترمذی، اور انہوں نے فرمایا: یہ حدیث حسن غریب ہے۔ اسنادہ ضعیف، رواہ الترمذی۔[مشكوة المصابيح/كتاب الآداب/حدیث: 4856]
