وَعَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ هُلْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ طَعَامِ النَّصَارَى وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ: سَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ مِنَ الطَّعَامِ طَعَامًا أَتَحَرَّجُ مِنْهُ فَقَالَ: «لَا يَتَخَلَّجَنَّ فِي صَدْرِكَ شَيْءٌ ضَارَعْتَ فِيهِ النَّصْرَانِيَّة» . رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد
English Translation
Qabisa b. Hulb quoted his father as saying that he asked the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) about the food of the Christians, (a version saying it was a man who asked him), adding that it was a kind of food from which he kept aloof. He replied, “Let no doubt enter your breast by which you resemble Christianity.”* *The general sense is that such food is allowable. Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت قبیصہ بن ہلب اپنے والد سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ میں نے نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے نصاریٰ کے کھانے کے بارے میں پوچھا۔ ایک روایت میں ہے: ایک شخص نے آپ سے پوچھا کہ بعض کھانے ایسے ہیں جن سے مجھے تنگی ہوتی ہے۔ آپ نے فرمایا: تیرے دل میں کوئی شبہ پیدا نہ ہو جس میں تو نصرانیت سے مشابہت اختیار کرے۔ (ترمذی اور حضرت ابوداؤد)
