Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ الْأَكْوَعِ قَالَ أَتَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَيْنٌ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ وَهُوَ فِي سَفَرٍ فَجَلَسَ عِنْدَ أَصْحَابِهِ يَتَحَدَّثُ ثُمَّ انْفَتَلَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اطْلُبُوهُ وَاقْتُلُوهُ» . فَقَتَلْتُهُ فنفَّلَني سلبَه
English Translation
Salama b. al-Akwa‘ said:A spy of the polytheists who came to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) when he was on a journey sat and talked with his companions and afterwards withdrew. The Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) then said, “Look for him and kill him,” so I killed him and the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) gave me the spoil taken from him. Urdu Translation
حضرت سلمہ بن اکوع رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں: مشرکین کا ایک جاسوس نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے پاس آیا جب آپ سفر میں تھے۔ وہ آپ کے صحابہ کے پاس بیٹھا اور باتیں کیں پھر چلا گیا۔ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسے ڈھونڈو اور قتل کرو۔ تو میں نے اسے قتل کیا اور آپ نے اس کا سامان مجھے عطا فرمایا۔ (متفق علیہ)
