Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَوْنٍ: أَنَّ نَافِعًا كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ يُخْبِرُهُ أَنَّ ابْنَ عمر أخبرهُ أَن ابْن عمر أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَغَارَ عَلَى بَنِي الْمُصْطَلِقِ غَارِّينِ فِي نَعَمِهِمْ بِالْمُرَيْسِيعِ فَقتل الْمُقَاتلَة وسبى الذُّرِّيَّة
English Translation
‘Abdallah b. ‘Aun said that Nafi‘ wrote to tell him that Ibn ‘Umar informed him the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) made an attack on the B. al-Mustaliq attacking their camels in al-Muraisi‘.* He killed the fighting men and took the children captive. * Ibn Ishaq (upon him be peace) says this expedition took place in Sha'ban, 6 A.H., but this has been questioned, Muraisi’ was a watering-place belonging to the B. al-Mustaliq. (Bukhari and Muslim.)
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عون سے روایت ہے کہ نافع نے انہیں لکھ کر بتایا کہ حضرت ابن عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما نے انہیں خبر دی کہ نبی کریم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے بنو مصطلق پر حملہ فرمایا جبکہ وہ مقام مریسیع میں اپنے مویشیوں کے پاس بے خبر تھے۔ آپ نے لڑنے والوں کو قتل کیا اور ذریت کو قید کیا۔ (متفق علیہ)
