Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَطْلُ الْغَنِيِّ ظُلْمٌ فَإِذَا أُتْبِعَ أحدكُم على مَلِيء فَليتبعْ»
English Translation
Hadrat He reported the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as saying, “Delay in payment by a rich man is injustice, but when one of you is referred for payment to a wealthy* man he should accept the reference." (Bukhari and Muslim.) *Mali'. This word is used of a wealthy man, and also of one who cannot be called wealthy but who is careful to pay his debts.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: مالدار کا ادائیگی میں تاخیر کرنا ظلم ہے، اور جب تم میں سے کسی کا قرض کسی مالدار کے ذمے ڈال دیا جائے تو وہ قبول کرے۔ (بخاری و مسلم)
