وَعَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ قَالَ: سألتُ أنسَ بنَ مالكٍ. قُلْتُ: أَخْبِرْنِي بِشَيْءٍ عَقَلْتَهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيْنَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ يومَ الترويةِ؟ قَالَ: بمنى. قلت: فَأَيْنَ صَلَّى الْعَصْرَ يَوْمَ النَّفْرِ؟ قَالَ: بِالْأَبْطَحِ. ثُمَّ قَالَ افْعَلْ كَمَا يَفْعَلُ أُمَرَاؤُكَ
English Translation
‘Abd al-‘AzIz b. Rufai' said he asked Hadrat Anas b. Malik to tell him something he knew about the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), viz. where he prayed the noon prayer on yaum at-tarwiya, and he replied that it was in Mina. He asked where he had prayed the afternoon prayer on yaum an-nafr,( There are two days with this name, the first being the 12th of Dhul Hijja and the second the following day. The second of these is said to be the one referred to here) and he replied that it was in al-Abtah.(The part of the wadi of Mecca with small pebbles) He then said, “Do as your commanders do.” Bukhari and Muslim.
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبدالعزیز بن رفیع فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ سے پوچھا: مجھے کوئی ایسی بات بتائیے جو آپ نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے یاد رکھی ہو کہ آپ نے یومِ الترویہ (آٹھ ذی الحجہ) کو ظہر کہاں پڑھی؟ فرمایا: منیٰ میں۔ میں نے پوچھا: یومِ النفر (تیرہ ذی الحجہ) کو عصر کہاں پڑھی؟ فرمایا: ابطح میں۔ پھر فرمایا: وہی کرو جو تمہارے امراء کریں۔ (بخاری و مسلم)
