Arabic (Original)
وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا مِنْ قَوْمٍ يَقُومُونَ مِنْ مَجْلِسٍ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّهَ فِيهِ إِلَّا قَامُوا عَنْ مِثْلِ جِيفَةِ حِمَارٍ وَكَانَ عَلَيْهِمْ حَسرَةً» . رَوَاهُ أحمدُ وَأَ��ُو دَاوُد
English Translation
Hadrat He reported the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as saying, "People who arise from an assembly in which they did not remember God will be just as if they had got up from an ass's corpse, and it will be a cause of grief to them." Ahmad and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابو ہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو لوگ ایسی مجلس سے اٹھیں جس میں اللہ کا ذکر نہ کیا ہو تو گویا گدھے کی لاش کے پاس سے اٹھے اور یہ ان کے لیے حسرت ہوگی۔ (احمد و ابو داؤد)
