وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ " . فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِذَا قَامَ فِي مَقَامِكَ لَمْ يُسْمِعِ النَّاسَ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ فَمُرْ عُمَرَ فَلِيُصَلِّيَ لِلنَّاسِ . قَالَ " مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ " . قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَقُلْتُ لِحَفْصَةَ قُولِي لَهُ إِنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ إِذَا قَامَ فِي مَقَامِكَ لَمْ يُسْمِعِ النَّاسَ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ فَمُرْ عُمَرَ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ فَفَعَلَتْ حَفْصَةُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم " إِنَّكُنَّ لأَنْتُنَّ صَوَاحِبُ يُوسُفَ مُرُوا أَبَا بَكْرٍ فَلْيُصَلِّ لِلنَّاسِ " . فَقَالَتْ حَفْصَةُ لِعَائِشَةَ مَا كُنْتُ لأُصِيبَ مِنْكِ خَيْرًا .
English Translation
Yahya (upon him be peace) related to me from Malik from Hisham ibn Urwa from his father from Hadrat A'isha, the wife of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) that the Beloved Messenger of Allah said, "Tell Hadrat Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." Hadrat A'isha said, "Beloved Messenger of Allah, when Hadrat Abu Bakr stands in your place his voice does not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, so tell Umar to lead the people in prayer." He said, "Tell Hadrat Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer." Hadrat A'isha continued, "I told Hadrat Hafsa to tell him that when Hadrat Abu Bakr stood in his place his voice did not reach the ears of the people because of his weeping, and that he should tell Umar to lead the people in prayer. Hadrat Hafsa did so, and the Beloved Messenger of Allah said, 'You are the companions of Yusuf (upon him be peace)! (referring to the women who cut their hands when they saw the beauty of Yusuf). Tell Hadrat Abu Bakr to lead the people in prayer!' " Hadrat A'isha added that Hadrat Hafsa said to her, "I have never had anything good from you!"
Urdu Translation
حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے حکم کیا مرض موت میں حضرت ابوبکر کو نماز پڑھانے کا تو کہا میں نے یا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم حضرت ابوبکر جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی جگہ پر کھڑے ہوں گے تو روتے روتے ان کی آواز نہ نکلے گی تو حکم کیجئے عمر کو نماز پڑھانے کا میں نے حفصہ سے کہا تم کہو آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم سے حضرت ابوبکر جب آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی جگہ میں کھڑے ہوں گے تو روتے روتے ان کی آواز نہ نکلے گی پس حکم کیجئے عمر کو نماز پڑھانے کا سو کہا حضرت نے تب فرمایا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے تم یوسف کی ساتھی عورتوں کی طرح ہو کہو حضرت ابوبکر سے نماز پڑھانے کو پس کہا حفصہ نے حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ سے تم سے مجھے بھلائی نہ ہوئی ۔
