Arabic (Original)
وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ فُرِضَتِ الصَّلاَةُ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي الْحَضَرِ وَالسَّفَرِ فَأُقِرَّتْ صَلاَةُ السَّفَرِ وَزِيدَ فِي صَلاَةِ الْحَضَرِ .
English Translation
Yahya (upon him be peace) related to me from Malik from Salih (upon him be peace) ibn Kaysan from Urwa ibn az-Zubayr that a'isha, the wife of the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said, "The prayer was prescribed as two rakas, both when settled and when travelling. Then the travelling prayer was kept as it was, and an increase was made in the prayer when settled. "

حضرت ام المومنیں حضرت اُمّ المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہا روایت ہے کہ کہا انہوں نے نماز دو دو رکعتیں فرض ہوئیں تھیں حضر میں اور سفر میں بعد اس کے سفر میں نماز اپنے حال پر رہی اور حضر کی نماز بڑھا دی گئی ۔
