Yahya (upon him be peace) related to me from Malik from Yazid ibn Abdullah ibn al-Had
from Muhammad ibn Ibrahim ibn al-Harith at-Taymi from Abu Salama ibn
Abd ar-Rahman ibn Awf that Hadrat Abu Hurayra said, "I went out to at-Tur
(Mount Sinai) and met Kab al Ahbar and sat with him. He related to me
things from the Tawrah and I related to him things from the Messenger
of Allah . Among the things I
related to him was that the Beloved Messenger of Allah said, 'The best of days on which the sun rises is
the day of jumua. In it Adam (upon him be peace) was created, and in it he fell from the
Garden. In it he was forgiven, and in it he died. In it the Hour
occurs, and every moving thing listens from morning till sunset in
apprehension of the Hour except jinn and men. In it is a time when
Allah gives toa muslim slave standing in prayer whatever he asks for.'
Kab said, 'That is one day in every year.' I said, 'No, in every
jumua.' Then Kab recited the Tawrah and said, 'The Beloved Messenger of Allah
has spoken the truth.' "
Hadrat Abu Hurayra continued, "I met Basra
ibn Abi Basra al-Ghiffari and he said, 'Where have you come from?' I
said, 'From at-Tur.' He said, 'If I had seen you before you left, you
would not have gone. I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah say, "Only make a special journey to three
mosques:the mosque of the Haram (Makka), this mosque (Madina), and
the mosque of Ilya or the Bait al-Maqdis (two names of Jerusalem)." '

Hadrat Abu Hurayra
continued, "Then I met Abdullah ibn Salam and I told him that I had
sat with Kabal-Ahbar, and I mentioned what I had related to him about
the day of jumua, and told him that Kab had said, 'That is one day in
every year.' Abdullah ibn Salam said, 'Kab lied,' and I added, 'Kab
then recited the Tawrah and said, "No, it is in every jumua.'' '
Abdullah ibn Salam said, 'Kab spoke the truth. 'Then Abdullah ibn
Salam said, 'I know what time that is.' "
Hadrat Abu Hurayra
continued, "I said to him, 'Let me know it - don't keep it from me.'
Abdullah ibn Salam said, 'It is the last period of time in the dayof
jumua.' "
Hadrat Abu Hurayra continued, "I said, 'How can it be the
last period of time in the day of jumua, when the Beloved Messenger of Allah said, "a muslim slave
standing in prayer", and that is a time when there is no prayer?'
Abdullah ibn Salam replied, 'Didn't the Beloved Messenger of Allah say, "Whoever sits waiting for the
prayer is in prayer until he prays?" "'
Hadrat Abu Hurayra added, "I
said, 'Of course.' He said, 'Then it is that.' "
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں طور پہاڑ گیا وہاں کعب الاحبار سے ملاقات ہوئی، میں ان کے ساتھ بیٹھا، انہوں نے مجھے تورات سے باتیں بتائیں اور میں نے انہیں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی حدیثیں سنائیں۔ جو باتیں میں نے سنائیں ان میں سے یہ تھی کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: سب سے بہتر دن جس پر سورج طلوع ہوا جمعہ کا دن ہے، اسی دن آدم علیہ السلام پیدا ہوئے، اسی دن جنت سے اتارے گئے، اسی دن ان کی توبہ قبول ہوئی، اسی دن ان کا انتقال ہوا اور اسی دن قیامت قائم ہوگی۔ اور کوئی جانور نہیں مگر جمعہ کے دن صبح سے سورج نکلنے تک کان لگائے رہتا ہے قیامت کے ڈر سے سوائے جن و انس کے۔ اور اس میں ایک گھڑی ہے جو مسلمان بندہ اس میں نماز پڑھتے ہوئے اللہ سے کچھ مانگے تو اللہ اسے عطا فرماتا ہے۔ کعب نے کہا: وہ ہر سال میں ایک دن ہے۔ میں نے کہا: بلکہ ہر جمعہ میں ہے۔ پھر کعب نے تورات پڑھی اور کہا: رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے سچ فرمایا۔ حضرت ابوہریرہ فرماتے ہیں: پھر میں بصرہ بن ابی بصرہ غفاری سے ملا، انہوں نے کہا: کہاں سے آ رہے ہو؟ میں نے کہا: طور سے۔ کہا: اگر میں تمہیں جانے سے پہلے مل جاتا تو تم نہ جاتے، میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو ارشاد فرماتے سنا: تین مسجدوں کے سوا سواریاں نہ کسی جائیں: مسجد حرام، میری اس مسجد اور مسجد ایلیاء یعنی بیت المقدس۔ حضرت ابوہریرہ فرماتے ہیں: پھر میں عبداللہ بن سلام سے ملا اور انہیں کعب الاحبار سے اپنی ملاقات اور جمعہ کے بارے میں حدیث سنائی اور کہا کہ کعب نے کہا: ہر سال میں ایک دن ہے۔ عبداللہ بن سلام نے کہا: کعب نے غلط کہا۔ میں نے کہا: پھر کعب نے تورات پڑھی۔ تو عبداللہ بن سلام نے کہا: بلکہ ہر جمعہ میں ہے، پھر کہا: کعب نے سچ کہا۔ پھر عبداللہ بن سلام نے فرمایا: مجھے معلوم ہے وہ کون سی گھڑی ہے۔ حضرت ابوہریرہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے کہا: مجھے بتائیں اور بخل نہ کریں۔ عبداللہ بن سلام نے فرمایا: وہ جمعہ کے دن کی آخری گھڑی ہے۔ حضرت ابوہریرہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے کہا: آخری گھڑی کیسے ہوئی حالانکہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نماز پڑھتے ہوئے، اور اس وقت تو نماز نہیں ہوتی؟ عبداللہ بن سلام نے فرمایا: کیا رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے نہیں فرمایا: جو شخص نماز کے انتظار میں بیٹھا رہے تو وہ نماز میں ہے جب تک نماز نہ پڑھ لے؟ حضرت ابوہریرہ فرماتے ہیں: میں نے کہا: ہاں۔ فرمایا: بس یہی وہ بات ہے۔
