62 صحيح حديث أُسامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رضي الله عنهما قَالَ: بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلى الْحُرَقَةِ فَصَبَّحْنَا الْقَوْمَ فَهَزَمْنَاهُمْ، وَلَحِقْتُ أَنَا وَرَجُلٌ مِنَ الأَنْصارِ رَجُلاً مِنْهُمْ، فَلَمّا غَشِينَاهُ قَالَ لاَ إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ، فَكَفَّ الأَنْصارِيُّ عَنْهُ، وَطَعَنْتُهُ بِرُمْحي حَتّى قَتَلْتُهُ؛ فَلَمّا قَدِمْنَا، بَلَغَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقالَ: يا أُسامَةُ أَقَتَلْتَهُ بَعْدَما قَالَ لا إِلهَ إِلاَّ اللهُ، قُلْتُ كَانَ مُتَعَوِّذًا؛ فَما زَالَ يُكَرِّرُها حَتّى تَمَنَّيْتُ أَنّي لَمْ أَكُنْ أَسْلَمْتُ قَبْلَ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمِ
English Translation
Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Among the people before you, there was a man who had killed ninety-nine people. He asked about the most knowledgeable person on earth and was directed to a monk. He went to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine people — could he repent? The monk said no, so he killed him, completing one hundred. Then he asked about the most knowledgeable person on earth and was directed to a scholar. He told him he had killed one hundred people — could he repent? The scholar said: 'Yes, and what stands between you and repentance? Go to such-and-such a land, for in it are people who worship Allah. Worship Allah with them, and do not return to your land, for it is an evil land.' So he set out, and when he was halfway there, death came to him. The angels of mercy and the angels of punishment disputed over him. The angels of mercy said: 'He came repenting, turning his heart to Allah.' The angels of punishment said: 'He never did any good.' An angel in the form of a man came to them, and they made him their arbiter. He said: 'Measure the distance between the two lands. Whichever is closer, he belongs to.' They measured and found him closer to the land he was heading to, so the angels of mercy took him."
Urdu Translation
سیدنا اسامہ بن زید رضی اللہ عنہ نے بیان کیا کہ ہمیں رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے قبیلہ حرقہ کی طرف بھیجا، ہم نے صبح کے وقت ان پر حملہ کیا اور انہیں شکست دے دی، پھر میں اور ایک اور انصاری صحابی اس قبیلہ کے ایک شخص (مرداس بن عمرو) سے بھڑ گئے، جب ہم نے اس پر غلبہ پا لیا تو وہ«لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ»”اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں“کہنے لگا، انصاری تو فوراً ہی رک گیا، لیکن میں نے اسے اپنے برچھے سے قتل کر دیا، جب ہم لوٹے تو نبی اکرمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکو بھی اس کی خبر ہوئی، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے دریافت فرمایا:”اسامہ! کیا اس کے«لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ»”اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں“کے باوجود تم نے اسے قتل کر دیا؟“میں نے عرض کیا کہ قتل سے بچنا چاہتا تھا (اس نے یہ کلمہ دل سے نہیں پڑھا تھا)، آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمبار بار یہی فرماتے رہے:”(کیا تم نے اس کے«لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللّٰهُ»”اللہ کے سوا کوئی معبود نہیں“کہنے پر بھی اسے قتل کر دیا)“حتیٰ کہ میرے دل میں یہ آرزو پیدا ہوئی کہ کاش میں آج سے پہلے اسلام نہ لاتا۔[اللؤلؤ والمرجان/كتاب الايمان/حدیث: 62]
