Arabic (Original)
عَنْأُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، عَنْسَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ:" رُبَّ صَائِمٍ لَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْ صِيَامِهِ إِلا الْجُوعُ، وَرُبَّ قَائِمٍ لَيْسَ لَهُ مِنْ قِيَامِهِ إِلا السَّهَرُ".
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said, from what he narrated from his Lord: "A servant committed a sin and said: 'O Lord, forgive me my sin.' Allah the Blessed and Exalted said: 'My servant committed a sin and knows that he has a Lord Who forgives sins and holds accountable for them. O My servant, do what you wish, for I have forgiven you.'"
Urdu Translation
سیدنا ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ نبی اکرمصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”کئی روزے دار ایسے ہیں کہ اس کے لیے اس کے روزے سے بھوک کے سوا کچھ نہیں اور کئی قیام کرنے والے ایسے ہیں کہ اس کے لیے اس کے قیام سے سوائے بیداری کے کچھ نہیں۔“[مسند عبدالله بن مبارك/حدیث: 79]
