Arabic (Original)
عَنْيُونُسَ، عَنِالزُّهْرِيِّ، أَخْبَرَنِيالسَّائِبُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ، أَنَّ شُرَيْحًا الْحَضْرَمِيَّ، ذُكِرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ:" ذَاكَ رَجُلٌ لا يَتَوَسَّدُ الْقُرْآنَ".
English Translation
Al-Sa'ib ibn Yazid narrated that Shurayh al-Hadrami was mentioned in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and he said: "That is a man who does not use the Quran as a pillow," meaning he recites it at night and does not neglect it.
Urdu Translation
سائب بن یزید نے بیان کیا کہ بے شک شریح حضرمی کا رسول اللہصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمکے پاس ذکر کیا گیا تو آپصلی اللہ علیہ وسلمنے فرمایا:”وہ ایسا آدمی ہے جو قرآن کو تکیہ نہیں بناتا۔“[مسند عبدالله بن مبارك/حدیث: 61]
