Arabic (Original)
عَنْيُونُسَ، عَنِابْنِ شِهَابٍ، قَالَ: قَالَتْعَمْرَةُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْعَائِشَةَ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ:" تُقْطَعُ يَدُ السَّارِقِ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ"، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ.
English Translation
Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "If one of you is invited to a meal, let him accept. If he is fasting, let him pray [i.e., make supplications]. And if he is not fasting, let him eat."
