حَدَّثَنَا عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدَّارِمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ الْبَجَلِيِّ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ " مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ فَيُحْسِنُ الْوُضُوءَ ثُمَّ يَقُولُ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ اللَّهُ وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ إِلاَّ فُتِحَتْ لَهُ ثَمَانِيَةُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ يَدْخُلُ مِنْ أَيِّهَا شَاءَ " .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat 'Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be well pleased with him) said: "The Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: 'There is no Muslim who performs ablution and does it well, then says: Ashhadu an la ilaha illallah, wa ashhadu anna Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)an `abduhu wa rasuluhu (I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is His slave and Messenger),' (except that) eight gates of Paradise will be opened for him, and he will enter through whichever one he wants
Urdu Translation
حضرت عمر بن خطاب رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: جو مسلمان بھی اچھی طرح سے وضو کرے پھر «أشهد أن لا إله إلا الله وأشهد أن محمدا عبده ورسوله» میں گواہی دیتا ہوں کہ اللہ کے علاوہ کوئی معبود برحق نہیں، اور محمد صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم اس کے بندے، اور رسول ہیں تو اس کے لیے جنت کے آٹھوں دروازے کھول دئیے جائیں گے جس دروازے سے چاہے وہ داخل ہو جائے ۔
