Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ نَحْنُ آخِرُ الأُمَمِ وَأَوَّلُ مَنْ يُحَاسَبُ يُقَالُ أَيْنَ الأُمَّةُ الأُمِّيَّةُ وَنَبِيُّهَا فَنَحْنُ الآخِرُونَ الأَوَّلُونَ " .
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) stated:“We are the last of the nations, and the first to be brought to account. It will be said: ‘Where is the unlettered nation and its the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)?’ So we are the last and the first.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہما فرماتے ہیں کہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ہم آخری امت ہیں اور سب سے پہلے حساب کے لیے بلائے جائیں گے، کہا جائے گا: امت اور اس کے نبی کہاں ہیں؟ تو ہم اول بھی ہیں اور آخر بھی ۔
