Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنْبَأَنَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ يَقُولُ مِرَارًا " وَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ مَا أَصْبَحَ عِنْدَ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَاعُ حَبٍّ وَلاَ صَاعُ تَمْرٍ " . وَإِنَّ لَهُ يَوْمَئِذٍ تِسْعَ نِسْوَةٍ .
English Translation
It is narrated that Hadrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be well pleased with him) said:“I heard the Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say several times: ‘By the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), the family of Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) does not have a Sa’ of food grains or a Sa’ of dates.’ And at that time he had nine wives.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت انس بن مالک رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کو باربار فرماتے سنا ہے: قسم ہے اس ذات کی جس کے ہاتھ میں محمد کی جان ہے! آل محمد کے پاس کسی دن ایک صاع غلہ یا ایک صاع کھجور نہیں ہوتا، اور ان دنوں آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی نو بیویاں تھیں۔
