Arabic (Original)
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، يَرْفَعُهُ قَالَ " يَتَقَارَبُ الزَّمَانُ وَيَنْقُصُ الْعِلْمُ وَيُلْقَى الشُّحُّ وَتَظْهَرُ الْفِتَنُ وَيَكْثُرُ الْهَرْجُ " . قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَا الْهَرْجُ قَالَ " الْقَتْلُ " .
English Translation
It is narrated by Hadrat Abu Hurairah (may Allah be well pleased with him) in a Marfu’ report (meaning, attributed to the Noble Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)):“Time will pass quickly, knowledge will decrease, miserliness will be cast into people’s hearts, tribulations will appear and there will be much Harj.” They said: “O Beloved Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), what is Harj?” He said: “Killing.”
Urdu Translation
حضرت ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ فرماتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: زمانہ ایک دوسرے سے قریب ہو جائے گا، ۱؎ علم گھٹ جائے گا، ( لوگوں کے دلوں میں ) بخیلی ڈال دی جائے گی، فتنے ظاہر ہوں گے، اور «هرج» زیادہ ہو گا ، لوگوں نے عرض کیا: اللہ کے رسول! «هرج» کیا چیز ہے؟ آپ صلی اللہ تعالیٰ علیہ وآلہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: قتل ۔
